Hey tiltro this rocks!!! Its not cheating to draw paintings out first in fact thats what many artists do!! I think you need more contrast when it comes to where the light on the eyes are! it blends in with the tone on the the bg. the darker greens look really nice and if you have one side of the mantis darker than the other (like side light) it can also boost that contrast!! it looks sick as fuck I hope the crit helps since you want it so bad you GOOOOOOOBERRRR :)))))

You are great pal, I do agree with your state mints on this painting but should we give animals rights to vote? I keep in this in mind next time, I didn't really have a light I just shaded random areas where I think would make sense. Now that I see it the ground looks a little stupid since it's supposed to be the bug casting a shadow. His mask is suppose to be rubber or I might change it to cotton but I thought it would look neat. Thanks for the thoughtful review yo.
